  • Role preference: Your choice between Voter and Observer roles

  • Session data: Temporary data during your active session (voting choices, room participation)
  • Theme preference: Your dark/light mode preference (stored locally)
  • Language preference: Your chosen language setting

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Enable real-time collaboration in Planning Poker sessions
  • Display your chosen username to other room participants
  • Remember your preferences for a better user experience
  • Facilitate voting and estimation processes

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Local Storage

Most of your data is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This includes your username, theme preference, and language setting. This data never leaves your device unless you actively participate in a room.

4.2 Session Data

During active Planning Poker sessions, your votes and participation data are transmitted in real-time to enable collaboration. This data is:

  • Transmitted over secure WebSocket connections
  • Not permanently stored on our servers
  • Deleted when the session ends or you leave the room

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to third parties. Your data is only shared with:

  • Other participants in the same Planning Poker room (your username and votes)

6. Cookies and Tracking

Estimo does not use cookies for tracking purposes. We only use browser localStorage to remember your preferences. We do not use any analytics or tracking services.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data: View what information is stored locally in your browser
  • Delete your data: Clear all stored data using the "Clear all data" option in Settings, or by clearing your browser data
  • Opt-out: You can use the application without providing any personal information by using a pseudonym

8. Children's Privacy

Estimo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us.
